We are delighted to announce that Natalia Alatortseva, the Russian botanist and botanical artist, has been chosen from among six applicants to be Botanical Artist in Residence in Copșa Mare in April 2021.
Natalia obviously has a good sense of humour and we are much looking forward to having her to stay in the village for two weeks in the spring! Here is her photograph of her Sinpodophyllum hexandrum, with a suitably Transylvanian touch to it! Here are her comments on the painting, which she describes as looking like 'a group of sleeping bats'.
