This is Costica, who until 2019 was the village cowherd. His neighbours paid him to stay all day with their grazing cattle on the rich, hilly grasslands that surround Copşa Mare.  Electric fencing, and perhaps a tad too much pride - he used to look after 200 head of cattle 25 years ago - has put him out of a job. 


In the coming months, we shall introduce you to more inhabitants of the village and their changing way of life.
